Summary

On September 14, 1955, a civilian in New York State reported seeing one oblong object changing colors from yellow to red to yellow. The object was traveling on a north-east course and then changed heading to a north-west direction about 50 miles southeast of Inlet. The sighting was reported to Griffiss Air Force Base on September 15 at 11:32 p.m. The observation duration and specific time of the sighting were not recorded. Base operations noted that thunderstorm activity was heavy in the area north of the station at that time. The Air Force evaluation was insufficient data for evaluation.
