Summary
MKUltra Subproject 69 received $5,000.00 in grant funding approved in 1957 for research work on Hungarian refugees at a university. The surviving paperwork shows salary expenses of $3,008.58 for professional staff, stenographic work, and translators. Operating expenses totaled $1,191.42 and included travel, supplies, postage, mimeographing, dictaphone rental, and telephone costs. A memo dated March 10, 1959 confirms that $5,000.00 of the over-all Project MKUltra funds had been obligated to cover the subproject's expenses under Allotment 7-9303-10-001. The project continued with additional reports anticipated. Names of the principal researcher and institution are redacted from the surviving documents.
