MKUltra Subproject 88 was approved in 1953 and received funding of $5,000.00 in fiscal year 1959 to produce cultural studies. The surviving paperwork shows administrative and financial records from 1958-1959. A consultant received a $3,000.00 fee, and $310.00 went to typing expenses, leaving a balance of $1,690.00. The subproject was managed by the CIA's Technical Security Services Chemical Division and charged to Allotment 9-2502-10-001.
