· 202 pages
Summary
MKUltra Subproject 47 funded pharmacological and clinical testing of drugs that alter behavior in animals and human volunteers between March 1955 and April 1962. The surviving paperwork shows a contract with Dr. C. C. Pfeiffer at the New Jersey Neuro-Psychiatric Institute in Princeton for $25,000.00. The subproject studied the effects of LSD-25 and related compounds, including exploration of antagonists and evaluation of behavioral and physiological responses. Work included clinical testing programs with specialized materials and was internally generated by the Technical Services Division (TSD). The contract was satisfactorily terminated and replaced by MKUltra 144.
