MKUltra Subproject 37

This file documents MKUltra Subproject 37, which ran from November 22, 1954 to March 15, 1962. The subproject received $3,000 in funding from the CIA. It was designed to procure and grow certain botanicals of interest to TSD (Technical Services Division) and related agencies, and to provide service and consultation on testing and evaluation of materials. The project maintained a regular annual supply of Psilocybe mushrooms (identified as Mucuna in some documents) and was growing Rhynchosia phaseoloides for use in natural product studies. Financial records show obligations and expenditures tracked through cost center 2125-1390-3902. Payment records include invoices and checks issued to cover project expenses.
