Summary

On August 14, 1957, at 3:04 a.m., a civilian in Woodland Hills, California reported a very large, long object twice the size of an aircraft with white coloring and two lights appearing as one unit with dark space between them. The object moved from southeast to northwest in a circular path, then back toward the southeast, continuing clockwise. When it reached the west, four bright flashes lasting one to two seconds each were observed. The object then climbed at 15 degrees until it reached the northwest, where it climbed vertically, leveled off, and continued in a circular path until it disappeared in the southeast. The Air Force evaluation is unknown.
