Summary

On August 25, 1955, a round silver object the size of a baseball was sighted in Paisley, Oregon. The object was seen by civilian and military observers (GOC) and appeared very high in the northeast. It remained stationary in sight at the time of the report. The sighting lasted long enough for multiple observations. The Air Force investigation noted characteristics consistent with a balloon sighting. Coordination with COC Weather, ADC, and Ent AFB confirmed that MDH 70 was over the observation area at the time. The Air Force concluded the sighting was a balloon.

Sighting has characteristics of a balloon generated sighting. Description of obj and duration of sighting substantiate. Check with COC Weather, ADC, Ent AFB, revealed that MDH 70 was over area of observation at time of sighting. Evaluation Balloon.
