Summary

On June 22, 1955, at dawn near Chuckanut Bay, Washington, civilian and military witnesses reported a black object shaped like a submarine. The object was observed for 30 minutes before it submerged. One witness, Mrs. Nokeley of Bow, Washington, reported being frightened when the object surfaced. A second witness, Mrs. Nack Baker of Eddison, Washington, also reported the sighting. A military supervisor, Sgt. Norn R. Pederson of Seattle, provided additional information. The Air Force evaluation marked the case as "Submarine."
