Summary

On July 30, 1956, a civilian in Rialto, California reported seeing one object with no discernible shape. The object was bright yellow and turned bright red. It made violent turn maneuvers in a small area and was visible for two to five minutes. The witness tried to turn on his car radio to see if anyone else was observing the object. The object was gone when the witness returned. The Air Force concluded the sighting was probably caused by car lights on a mountain road or crest.

10. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING:
One object, no shape discernible. Size smaller than a dime. Color bright yellow which turned bright red. Violent turn maneuvers in a very small area. Seen for two to five minutes. Observer went to turn on his car radio to see if anyone else was observing the object. Object was gone when he returned.

11. COMMENTS:
Concur with the reporting officer that judging from the elevation of the sighting it is very reasonable to assume that this sighting was probably caused by car lights on a mountain road or crest.
