Summary

On December 3, 1957, a civilian in Tensleep, Wyoming, reported seeing a round, white object brighter than a star at 4:45 a.m. The object appeared at a 45-degree angle from the ground in the south and disappeared to the southwest at a 35-degree angle. It remained visible for one and one-half hours with a straight course. The witness noted no tail, exhaust trail, or sound. When disappearing, the object left a half-moon reflection. Astro computer charts and star tables indicated the object was without doubt the planet Venus.
