Summary

On September 26, 1954 at 8:24 p.m., a civilian in Altoona, Pennsylvania reported seeing one unidentified object. The sighting lasted three minutes. The object was round on top and flat on bottom. It flew parallel with a US Air Force DC-6 aircraft for one minute, then pulled forward at tremendous speed. Observers at 19,000 feet reported the object traveling at 382 mph. The Air Force noted the object could possibly be a jet aircraft, but the report lacked details about how it disappeared or what it looked like. The conclusion was insufficient data for evaluation.
