Summary

On October 16, 1953, in Yakima, Washington, a circular object with silver color was sighted. An Air Force pilot and co-pilot flying at 2,000 feet observed the object during daylight hours. A tower operator at Yakima also witnessed the sighting, reporting the object at 25,000 feet altitude from a position over Yakima, where high thin scattered clouds were present. The observation lasted 20 minutes. The object moved at 260 degrees. Ground and aircraft observation confirmed the sighting. The Air Force evaluated the object as unidentified.
