10. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING: One round silver object, size of a golf ball & immm-s length. Object had no movement or sound & appeared as a bright light at a very high altitude. Object was observed visually for 25 mins & was still in sight at time of initial report. Object observed for three hours 30 minutes(according to Form 164) & still in sight. Object first sighted at 0857DT 135 deg az 80 deg elev. No az & el given as observn stopped watching at 1230EDT. Obj observd on clear days for a week after initial sighting - obj in same position.
12. CONCLUSIONS: Was Balloon, Probably Balloon, Possibly Balloon, Was Aircraft, Probably Aircraft, Possibly Aircraft, Was Astronomical Venus, Probably Astronomical, Possibly Astronomical, Other, Insufficient Data for Evaluation, Unknown
11. COMMENTS: Source believed object to be a star. Evaluated as planet Venus as seen during the day. Observation of object in same position for a week, ad the position of Venus at 0857EDT 24 Aug 56 (135dgr az 624dgr elevation) substantiate this conclusion.
