Summary

On November 12, 1957, at approximately 1 a.m., a round, bright green and blue object was observed rising and moving toward the west near Ogdensberg, New York. The object was small and remained in sight for 10 to 25 minutes. Witnesses included a civilian student and a sailor on watch aboard a U.S. Coast Guard cutter called the Maple. The object was observed from ground level under clear skies with high thin scattered clouds. An Air Force intelligence officer noted the sighting was possibly an astrological phenomenon.
