Summary

On August 13, 1956, at dusk near Colonial Hill, Pennsylvania, a civilian observer reported five black objects flying together about the size of birds. The objects moved west, then east, and then disappeared to the north. The sighting lasted about 60 seconds. The observer used binoculars to watch the objects. No sound was heard. The Air Force evaluated the sighting as unidentified. The objects were described as black and moving in formation. The evaluation noted that the size, color, formation, manner of disappearance, and course of the objects indicated the probable identification as birds.
