Summary

On September 3, 1956, at dusk near Bert, Michigan, a civilian observer reported sighting one oblong bright red object at 90 degrees azimuth and 12,000 feet altitude. The object was drifting northerly and disappeared by fading out of sight after being observed visually for six minutes.
