Summary

On March 1, 1954, two airline flights observed a glowing bright green light descending in an arc near Cherokee and Sinclair, Wyoming. The object appeared at 12 to 15 degrees above the horizon at 8:21 p.m. local time, approximately 12 miles east of Cherokee. It descended and disappeared behind a cloud bank, slanting downward 30 degrees to the left of vertical. The sighting lasted 5 seconds. Weather conditions were clear over an undercast with high clouds. The captain and co-pilot of one aircraft confirmed the observation.
