Summary

On September 23, 1952, at 2:00 a.m., a Flying Tiger aircraft flying southwest at 12,000 feet reported sighting a strange stationary light in the sky near Boise, Idaho. The light was estimated at 15,000 feet altitude and remained stationary during the observation. The aircraft was on a heading of 120 degrees. The pilot of the aircraft was a commercial pilot. At other times, radar sighted an object on a bearing of 120 degrees east of Boise. The object appeared to move from side to side. No additional information was available. The Air Force evaluation was unknown.
