Over Fresno to Over San Fransico, Calif., May 1958May 1958

Insufficient Data

Summary

On May 7, 1958, over Fresno to San Francisco, California, military observers reported three bluish-white triangular objects similar to a star. The objects seemed to be stationary and faded from sight. The observation lasted one hour and thirty minutes. The course was reported as east-northeast. The Air Force noted that everything pointed to the objects being Venus and Arcturus. A note indicated that Arcturus was in the same general position at the time and place, and as understood from the measurements provided by the pilot, the objects could be explained as astronomical phenomena. The evaluation concluded the sighting was astronomical, specifically Venus and Arcturus.
