On the night of June 24th into June 25th, 1952, an intermittent bright light was reported near Meade, Kansas. The sighting lasted just two seconds. The object appeared in the western sky and then moved toward the north-northwest before disappearing from view.
The report came to the U.S. Air Force Flight Service Center through a station in Dodge City, Kansas, at roughly 2215 hours (10:15 p.m.) Central Time. The object was described as an intermittent flash of light with no visible trail or physical features.
