Summary

On April 24, 1954, at night, a witness in Wichita, Kansas, reported lights in the sky. The witness was sitting in a car on Market Street, facing north.

The witness reported seeing seven to nine lights flying in a "V" formation. One light would drop back and then return to its place. The objects flew north in steady flight and appeared very high and extremely fast. Their brightness was compared to faint stars. The sighting lasted about 10 to 12 seconds.

This sighting was filed under Project 10073, the Air Force's official record system for unidentified flying object reports.
