Summary

On January 18, 1955, a military observer in the Pacific Ocean reported a globular object with no sound. The object was white with a reddish color and disappeared as it flew low with aircraft. The Air Force evaluated this as a probable KC-97 aircraft flying in the opposite direction to the observer. An ATIC officer concurred with this assessment.
