Summary

On July 15, 1954, in Waterville, Minnesota, a UFO was sighted flying south at low altitude. The object was 12 inches in diameter and orange in color. It appeared to be a cluster of lights. The sighting lasted 3 minutes. The object had no sound and moved from low altitude to high altitude in a vertical line before disappearing. The sighting was ground-visual observation by civilian members of the Civil Defense Corps. One KC-97 aircraft was 12 miles south of the sighting at approximately the same time. The Air Force evaluation was unidentified.
