Summary

On August 9, 1954, a civilian witness in St. Cloud, Minnesota, observed a round object flashing red, orange, blue, and white at one-minute intervals. The object moved with jerky motions heading north at approximately 40 miles per hour. It was located about 7 to 10 miles from the sighting point at an altitude of about 15,222 feet. The witness watched the object for 46 minutes using 7 by 50 binoculars. The object appeared to stop and move in jerky movements at about 40 miles per hour before disappearing 20 miles northeast of the sighting point. The Air Force concluded the sighting was unidentified.
