Summary

On June 21, 1955, a civilian in Glenavon, California reported seeing a cigar-shaped object with a reddish color and no sound. The observation lasted 15 minutes. The witness was looking for aircraft when spotted the object at 045 degrees at 009 degrees heading east after making a circle. The object remained in sight for one five minutes. Ground visual observation with binoculars was conducted. Weather was foggy with five miles visibility. The Air Force established radio contact with the object. The official evaluation was that the object was definitely identified as an aircraft.
