Summary

On March 27, 1953, near Mt Taylor, New Mexico, military personnel observed one circular object. The sighting lasted four minutes. The object was bright orange and did not change or fade. It performed fast rolls and disappeared from sight. The pilot descended from 28,000 feet to 20,000 feet at a speed of 600 knots. The object was flying at 600 knots. The pilot attempted to close on the object but was unable to do so. The object disappeared in an apparently descending curve. The Air Force evaluated the sighting as unidentified.

Object was circular, size of a two hole at 2 Ft. It was bright orange, and did not change or fade. Object did some fast rolls and disappeared from sight. Below. First observed at 28,000 ft at airspeed about 240 degrees. Pilot descended from 28,000 to 20,000 at speed of 600 knots. Object, owing at 600 knots. Pilot attempted to close on object.
