MKUltra Subproject 98
1959 to 1966 · 16 documents · 29 pages
Summary
MKUltra Subproject 98 funded a research grant administered by an undisclosed researcher from May 1965 through at least 1966. The surviving paperwork shows financial adjustments and grant administration. In May 1965, a check for $156.37 was sent to cover typing and final report expenses related to the grant work. By November 1966, a memorandum to the TSD/BF chief noted that remaining grant funds had been spent and that the funding organization had terminated its relationship with the grantee as of June 1966, making further accounting impossible. An October 1965 certification memo indicated the project was approved under authority from April 1953 with a total project amount of $9,135.00, though internal reviews showed only partial funding dispersed. The file reflects standard administrative closeout and account reconciliation procedures.
