Summary
On April 11, 1961, the crew of a SAC KC-97 aircraft saw an object over Goose Bay, Labrador. The report puts the plane about 25 nautical miles southwest of Goose Bay, flying at 13,000 feet. The object appeared ahead of and above the aircraft's line of flight. It then split into two parts and burned.
