Insufficient Data

Summary

On March 7, 1961, a civilian in British Columbia, Canada, near 120 degrees 08 minutes west, 55 degrees 43 minutes north, reported a small object about 5:50 p.m. local time. The object was white and shaped like a doughnut. It looked like an aircraft intercepting a B-47. It traveled north on the track of a B-47, then broke off to the west and went out of sight. The sighting lasted about four minutes.

On Project 10073, the Air Force's official record for unidentified flying object reports, the comments said the object was possibly an aircraft. Only B-47s were reported in the area, and these were seen by the witnesses. The card listed insufficient data for a firm conclusion.
