Summary

On February 6, 1956, at 7:21 a.m., a civilian witness in San Fernando, California reported observing one unidentified object. The object was circular with a pinhead at arm's length, yellowish white like a light bulb. It traveled northeast to southwest at 500 knots at an altitude of 3 to 5 thousand feet. The sighting lasted 10 seconds. Visibility was 10 miles with slight haze and scattered clouds at 3,000 feet. The Air Force concluded the sighting was probably an aircraft.
