Summary

On October 25, 1959, at 6:38 p.m., a witness near Mansfield, Pennsylvania observed a long white streak in the sky traveling from south-southwest to west. The streak lasted about ten seconds. Two minutes later at 6:40 p.m., a second object appeared almost due south with a greenish tint. This object moved with an erratic bouncing motion at first, then settled into a steady glow while traveling west. The second object remained visible for approximately four seconds before burning out at the horizon. The witness reported seeing two of these objects. The Air Force evaluated the sighting as unidentified.
