Summary
On May 19, 1959, at approximately 10:30 p.m., a witness in New Madison, Ohio observed a round haze of light with no definite shape while driving on Route 121 from Arcanum, Ohio. The light lasted only a few seconds, staying in a near stationary position before fading away. The witness saw it again around 3 a.m. the same morning, describing it as brighter and larger. The witness described the object as giving the appearance of a moon behind clouds or haze with no definite shape, seeming to change proportions slightly at times. The phenomena lasted approximately 25 minutes until 4 a.m. when the witness returned home. On both occasions, the light appeared to have color, yellow, fading gradually until no longer visible. The Air Force evaluation is not stated on these pages.
