Summary

On August 3, 1958, a civilian in New York State reported observing four bright flashes of light at regular intervals of about one second apart. The initial observation occurred in the east, and the object crossed the sky to disappear in the west. The flight was described as very rapid. The reported object was compared in size to a green traffic light. The observation lasted 41 seconds and involved one object. On September 2, 1958, the Air Force responded that their records showed no other reports from that area for the time mentioned, but they recorded the report for use in their continuing study of aerial phenomena.
