Summary

On February 23, 1958, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, a civilian witness observed a round, silver and gold object about 6 to 8 inches in diameter. The object looked like a low moon and reflected light. It moved from 60 degrees to 180 degrees azimuth in 5 seconds. The observation lasted 5 seconds. The Air Force noted that the speed indicated by the duration and distance traveled was in the class of meteors. At dawn it was still dark enough for the object to give the impression of reflected light. The case was considered a meteor observation.
