Summary

On September 1, 1952, at 8:23 p.m., a white object moving very high and very fast with no trail or exhaust was observed by naked eye from the ground near Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. The object was sighted 28 miles northwest of Tinker AFB. It moved from south to north, circled to the west, crossed its path, and then headed east at a very high altitude before disappearing. An observer in Oklahoma City reported the sighting. Weather conditions included clear ceiling with 15 miles visibility, temperature 83 degrees, and northeast winds at 12 knots. The 353rd Air Division at Tinker AFB was notified. The only known traffic in the area was an Air Force jet F-84 that had landed at Tinker AFB at 8:23 p.m. No official evaluation is stated in the available pages.
