Summary

On January 21, 1952, a Navy pilot reported a sighting near Mitchell Air Force Base in New York at 9:50 a.m. The object was described as very light colored, circular in shape, and 20 to 30 feet in diameter. It was observed at an altitude over 6,000 feet and traveled at a speed of 200 to 500 knots. The pilot observed the object performing tight turns and oscillating motions during an aerial observation.
