Summary

On May 28, 1960, a witness near Penns Park, Pennsylvania, saw an orange light in the sky. The area is about 20 miles northwest of a nearby city. The card lists one object.

The object was an oval orange light about the size of a grapefruit. At first it appeared to be stationary. It then began to move on a westerly heading and grew smaller as it went. The witness watched it for about five minutes.

This report was filed under Project 10073, the Air Force's official record for unidentified flying object reports. The Air Force said a possible cause was light reflection from searchlights on broken cloud.
