Summary

On July 5, 1962, the USS Falgout reported a UFO sighting in the Pacific. The round object was first magnitude star size, white in color. It moved 50 degrees west in relation to a star, then 2 degrees east. The course was north-northeast. The object disappeared on the horizon after thirteen minutes. Lookouts and the officer of the deck sighted it and the commanding officer confirmed the observation. All personnel involved had previously sighted satellites. The commanding officer noted no radar contact. The evaluation was negative.
