Summary

On September 23-29, 1962, in Iran, a civilian witness reported observing a shining object moving south to north. The object left a 500-foot trail of white smoke that persisted for 15 minutes. On September 23 at 3:45 p.m., a shining burning object fell to earth. On September 23 at 3:30 p.m., a shining thing burned in the sky with upward bowing in sight for one second. On September 27 at 2:40 p.m., an object roted over border town. On September 27 at 3:30 p.m., a shining thing headed toward Afghanistan. On September 28 at 8:08 a.m., a shining thing like a welding torch moved rapidly south to north for 5 seconds. On September 28 at 4:00 p.m., a shining thing moved in space. The Air Force concluded the pattern tends to exclude natural phenomena and possibly involved aircraft, a meteor, or a missile, with insufficient data for evaluation.
