Summary

Between June 8 and July 8, 1955, an observer in Fontana, California reported seeing round objects in the night sky. The objects appeared red and flashing or yellow and steady. The observer noted usually one or two objects during each sighting. Each observation lasted ten to fifteen minutes. A check of radio facility charts revealed the observer was located near an aerodrome on the east, an aerodrome on the west, and a beacon light on the north. The flight path to Edwards Air Force Base passed over the observer's house. The Air Force concluded the observer had seen a combination of aircraft lights and the beacon light. The observer was located in a well populated and well-lit area.

10. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING
During the period 8 Jun 55 to 8 Jul 55 the observer had noted round objects in the sky at night. The objects are red and flashing or yellow and steady.

11. COMMENTS
A check of Radio Facility Charts reveals the observer is located with an aerodrome on the east, an aerodrome on the west and a beacon light on the north. Flight path to Edwards AFB is over observer's house. It is the opinion that the observer has seen a combination of a/c lights and the beacon. Also, the observer is located in a well populated area and a well-lit area.
