Summary

On September 1, 1957, near Canton, Ohio, a military observer saw one round white object about the size of a softball held at arm's length. The object moved to the northwest and was in sight for about 30 seconds. The Air Force record card for Project 10073, its official record for unidentified flying object reports, lists the conclusion as probably aircraft.
