Summary

On June 14, 1957, at night, a civilian ground observer in Canton, Ohio reported a sighting. The observation lasted three to five seconds.

The witness saw one round bluish green object about the size of a pea held at arm's length. A faint sound was noted. The object moved very fast, heading north at an altitude of about 4,000 feet.

The Air Force record (Project 10073, its official file for unidentified flying object reports) lists the case as astronomical. The comment states the sighting was characteristic of a meteor. No separate report was on file.
