Summary

On July 8, 1958, at 12:32 p.m., a civilian in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania reported seeing one small, round, yellowish-green object moving slowly to the southwest. The observation lasted 50 seconds. The object was viewed with binoculars and appeared to move at a slow speed with elevation angles of about 4 degrees. Weather conditions included scattered clouds and northeast winds at 3 to 4 knots. No unusual activity was noted, and no air traffic was reported in the area. An Air Force investigator noted the description suggested an aircraft, but insufficient data existed to properly evaluate the sighting.
