Summary

On December 2, 1956, near Hugo, Colorado, a civilian observer reported seeing three white to yellowish lights. The objects appeared as one object that graduated in size from pea to baseball. They were observed skimming along the surface for five minutes. The lights moved from east to west, showing a pattern of first top light, then middle light, then bottom light, with flashing lights present. A report was received by telephone at Colorado Springs Ground Observer Filter Center. The Air Force evaluation was Unknown.

Three white to yellowish lights (appeared as one obj) graduated in size in size of pea to size of baseball in arm's length. Objs were seen skimming along surface. Objs moved in E to W fading out as follows: first top light, then middle light, then bottom light after having been observed visually for five minutes. Flashing lights present.

11. COMMENTS
Report received by telephone from Colorado Springs GOC Filter Center. Rpt indicated possible a/c sighting. Duration of flashing lights consistent with this analysis.
