Summary

In southern Colorado in 1948, a civilian named Harold M. Wright reported seeing a "green fireball" on three separate nights. The dates were September 12, December 5, and December 12, 1948. The Air Force Office of Special Investigations interviewed him on January 31, 1949.

Wright said the object looked like a bright green falling star and made no sound. On December 5, while driving on U.S. Highway 160 near Blanca, Colorado, he saw it move horizontally toward the west at a very fast speed. He said that time it looked closer and brighter, and it did not fall but "went out in midair." He saw it again near Monte Vista, Colorado.

Wright could not give firm details about the object's size, shape, speed, or altitude. The investigating agent noted that Wright seemed above average in intelligence. The report was a supplemental report, and the investigation was listed as continuing.
