Summary

On June 1, 1958, near 7:25 p.m. in Salt Lake City, Utah, a civilian observer in his back yard sighted an object described as bluish with a green glow, shaped like a saucer with a half bubble underneath. The object appeared from behind trees, moved from east to west, made a 180-degree turn, then headed west to east before disappearing behind the same trees where first sighted. The sighting lasted a few seconds. No sound was heard. Two jet aircraft were in the Salt Lake City area at the time. The Air Force evaluation was unknown.
