Summary

On the night of July 25, 1961, two flying objects were observed over Palatka, Florida. The objects moved from west to east and headed north. They traveled a short distance in that direction, then made a 70-degree turn and headed again to the west. About 75 degrees west horizon the four objects came into one. However, they appeared blue-white. After they changed into a bright orange color, then they disappeared behind trees. The incident lasted about two minutes. There was no sound from the three objects. The Air Force evaluation was unidentified.

11. COMMENTS: [illegible] gravity plane. Inadequate and inconsistencies of reports could such as objt operating and joining together again and varied movements which do not conform to known flight patterns lead to conclusion of prank by these youngsters.
