Summary

On November 5, 1957, a white lighted unidentified flying object was sighted at an unknown location. The object traveled at a high rate of speed in a southwest direction. It was not a shooting star. The object passed under the moon and traveled across the sky at approximately the same height. The observation period lasted 3 seconds, from horizon to horizon. The Air Force concluded that the very meager information made it impossible to evaluate the report. However, the object had characteristics of a meteor.
