The object was first spotted at 10:22 p.m. moving north to south and stopped directly overhead of an observer. The object was round and appeared to be spinning. It did not change position but moved in a zigzag manner. At approximately 10:29 p.m., the object turned on its side and formed a long circular tube, giving off yellow light and then a faint green glow before returning to its original position and disappearing. The observation lasted about seven minutes. Weather conditions were fair with broken clouds at 1,500 to 2,500 feet. Visibility was 15 miles. Two civilians also observed the object. The Air Force investigation included three Air Force personnel who were separately interrogated, and their accounts conformed with each other.
