Summary

On April 1, 1952, at 10:15 p.m. local time, an airman at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas observed a white, sphere-shaped object during a one to two second sighting. The observer was watching a C-97 aircraft take off from Kelly Air Force Base when he noticed the object with a white trail. The object traveled in a horizontal plane, started as a circle, became oval, and split into parts of equal brightness. It moved at an apparently high rate of speed. The observer could not identify the object and heard it was audible to him. The Air Force evaluation was unidentified.
